Gothic Arches - Birds

The theme for these gothic arches was birds and ?  Requirements were for at least 2 different media and birds plus one other element of your choice. I used patterned paper, paper tape, fabric tape, vintage ephemera, die cuts, rubber stamps, sharpie markers, and the birds were cut from free greeting cards that I received in the mail. I was so pleased by how these turned out, definitely going through a "bird" phase.

Beach ATC's

These two beach themed ATC 's were created for the April swap at Paperfollies(Yahoo group). Patterned paper, vintage women, borders, shell stamps, chalk ink, copic markers, and sharpie markers were used.

Mini- ATC's

These are my first attempts at mini ATC's with a new yahoo group that I joined called Paperfollies. Patterned paper, wintage women, vintage travel posters, borders and rub-onz were used to collage these mini ATC's.

Altered Playing Cards

So here it is. I found a perfect reason to use the peeled paint technique again, as we were required to have parts of the playing card showing through. Vintage labels and ephemera, stamps, clear sparkle pen and glaze pen were used.

Queen for a Day

I used vintage photos on old world patterened paper. A fabric sticker was added running down the side of each card. I cut crowns out of scraps of background paper for each queen. A clear sparkle pen was used to add shimmer to jewelry and crowns.  Glaze pens were applied to the background to accentuate the design of the paper and to add texture to create depth.  Tiny bits of bling were added to the crowns as a finishing touch!

Colorful Pair of ATC's

This pair of ATC's was for a new group I joined on swap-bot, the Bright and Colorful Swappers. The theme was artist's choice as long as you had a pair. I chose these vintage travel posters and using a Sharpie pen I expanded the picture onto the ATC, added some flowers, and bright colorful background colors. I colored with copic markers and added details with glaze pens.

Peeled Paint Technique Challenge

Trying something new, peeled paint technique, acrylic paint and vaseline. It really works. I think I will be doing nore of this technique in the future. I did these ATC's on 140# watercolor paper then added vintage ads and diecuts, some vintage stamps and some rub-onz stitch marks.
