Victorian Visitng Cards

This started out as a swap-bot swap 5 for 5. It tied in with creating a mini-zine on Victorian visiting card etiquette. After I made my mini-zine I also used it for a mini-zine swap since I had quite a few, so made more visiting crads to send along with the zines as a bonus. As you can tell I obviously enjoyed making the calling cards. Most of mine have names hidden under a flap like the first example shown here. I used paper, victorian images, stickers, lace, sharpie pen, sharpie ultra fine markers, gel pen, and border punches.

Anime Boys or Girls

This was a hand drawn swap and characters had to be drawn in anime style, male or female.  My first attempt, and I struggled with even posting it, but it is what it is and that is how we learn, by doing. Played around with some shading with my copic markers, need much more practice with that also.

Journey Around The World

This swap was done for the All Things Tim Yahoo Group. Participants had to design a 6x6 chunky page highlighting where they live in the world and use some of Tim Holtz product in their work.
This is my front cover. I used Ranger acrylic paint dabbers on the edge of the pages. I used a vintage postcard as a large pocket - Tim uses a lot of vintage images. Tim incorporates metal into his work, so I added a metal tag to the front of my piece.

I decided to create tags to tie in with Tim's style, he does a lot of tags.  I used distress inks on the tags and more vintage photos also along the style of Tim's work.

On my back page I used vintage postcards and some of Tim's vintage stickers.
