For this swap we had to base our cards on the game of Clue. Each card had to have a different character and weapon from the game. Rooms weren't required but happily encouraged. This was such fun. I based my cards on an old clue game I picked up at a rummage sale some years ago. I drew with Sharpie permanent pen, colored my characters and weapons with Copic markers and colored my rooms with colored pencil.

APC's - Aces
Last set for the deck - Aces. I started by choosing dragon images and so went for an Asian theme. I used origami papers to cover the body of the playing cards then layered the dragons and additional Asian themed photo images. I added some stickers from Starform and colored them in with gel pen.

Altered Rolodex Cards - 4x6
The Letter C
Front View
I chose Coney Island for my letter C altered rolodex card. I used scrapbooking papers to cover the rolo and then found vintage post cards images of Coney Island for the front and back. I also added some washi tape and die cuts.

Whimsical Wedding Cakes
The challenge for this swap was get creative and to stack cakes as you would for a wedding, but come up with themes not necessarily for weddings. So I decided on a "fruit" cake, a zentangle style cake, and stacked cupcakes. I drew with a sharpie permanent pen, colored with copic markers, and added small patterns in the background with fine point Bic markers.

APC's - Kings
King Charles
King Stephen
King Edward
King Robert
I decided to use vintage photos of men for my altered King playing cards. I used washi tape first to cover up the majority of the card and then applied the photo on top. I added vintage cigar bands to the bottoms of the photos, which I thought was a gorgeous shape to accent each one with. I used tiny cardstock lettering stickers as I tried to choose names for my gentlemen that seemed to fit their image.
