Snowman Pocket Letter

Leaning toward my usual of course, added some vintage photos, vintage ads, and I decided to do some paper piecing and build a three card tall snowman for this page.  Added some blinged out snowflake stickers to the outside of the pocket page - like the effect!

Christmas Card Pocket Letters

The challenge was to use Christmas cards that were received and cut them up into pocket letter pockets, using various parts of the cards - pictures, greetings, etc.  This was a lot of fun and I got a bit carried away, but I was able to use up some cards that I received duplicates of and lots of washi tape, a few stickers and then I cut the inside greetings into chucks and added those to my layout. I was very pleased with the outcome, it was nice to give another life to all those Christmas cards that I save and don't quite do anything with.  I am signed up for 2 swaps with this theme and then I will need to find some partners for the rest that I made.

Elves, Elves, Elves

Any kind of elf images were fair game for this pocket letter (along with my usual papers and washi tapes).  I included Santa in the center as he is a jolly ole elf.(I found a couple of cute elf paper dolls that I shrunk down to put in the back pockets.)

1920"s Flapper Pocket Letter

So I looked for images of 1920's flappers and fashions and found photos and ads and fashion sketches to use. I used washi tape, die cuts and a lot of bling.   I decided to throw in some 1920's slang and hand lettered a different phase or word on each  with the definitions on the back.  Pocket 1-"Cat's Meow" means something splendid or stylish, the greatest, wonderful.  Pocket 2 - "Now you're on the trolley!" means "Now you've got, now you're right." Pocket 3 - "Hotsy Totsy" means pleasing.  Pocket 4 - "Copacetic" means wonderful, fine, all right.  Pocket 5 - "Glad rags" means "going out on the town" clothes.  Pocket 6 - "Keen" means attractive or appealing.  Pocket 7 - "Cash or check" means "Do you kiss now or later".  Pocket 8 - "Bee's knees" means an extraordinary person, thing, idea; the ultimate.  Pocket 9 - "Flapper" means stylish, brash, hedonistic woman with short skirts and shorter hair.

Curiosity Cabinet ATC 3

I used clear acetate to create actual windows for my cabinet.  This cabinet I chose to fill with sea shells.  This cabinet represents more what an actual curiosity cabinet would look like. My other two cabinets while holding collections were more artistic license to my mind.
