Resin Relics

Saturday morning at the Art Glass and Bead Convention in Madison, WI.  This class was so much fun.  We used a two part molding compound used by the medical profession for taking casts of ears to fit people for hearing aides.  This was a great product, smooth, soft, easy to work with and capable of excellent detail.  We used objects like dolls body parts, metal ornamental pieces, bits of jewelry, old keys and the gal I sat next to let me mold a piece of metal soldier she found with her metal detector.  Next we learned how to use Resin Ice a two part resin and were given the option of adding color with paint, chalk, or pearlex powders.  We could also add glitter, beads, mica, and bits of paper.  Can't wait to see how these look after they cure.
